Frequently Asked Questions about PONS You've Always Wanted to Know !

Can I show my PON who has missing teeth ?

You need to consult your national breed club and inquire about the breed standard. Some clubs are changing a number of standards and all PON owners need to be aware of these changes.

I've been told that my PON's ears are too highly placed and his legs are too long to be successful in the ring. Some clubs are changing their standards and so this may make a difference in the ring. However, how can I be sure I am not wasting time and money when I wish to show my PON ?

You need to consult your national breed club for more detailed information. Good luck !

My PON has become more aggressive. Some have indicated this may have to do with Thyroid problems. What would you advise ?

It may be time to visit your vet for comprehensive blood tests.

My PON ignores me when it is time for her to go into her crate. Have you ever heard of deafness among PONS ?

Many PONS have selective hearing when they are not pleased with their owner's directions. Offer a carrot or other veggie and see if this makes a difference.
