Protect your PON during winter months

Give your PON additional vegetables in the winter to support his immune system. This does not mean offering more food, but rather enriching your PON's diet if you offer kibble. Make sure and read all ingredient labels and look up terms which are unfamiliar on google and other search engines. Do not take anything for granted when it comes to diet.

When going outdoors in snowy winter conditions, be sure to check your PON's leash and make sure there are no cracks in leather products. Check your PON's paws upon returning home. Clean and dry paws to avoid infections.

A bed off the floor can provide extra warmth. Provide your PON with a warm, draft-free place to sleep. Make sure his sleeping area is away from street noise. A flannel sheet inside your PON's bed will insure extra warmth during cold weather months.

Where do you keep antifreeze in your household ? Keep antifreeze out of the reach of your PON and children. This applies to bug sprays as well.

Have you checked your fence recently ? Will heavy snows make a difference ? Who can open your fence ? Do you always keep it locked ?

Keeping your home safe means a long and happy household for PONS and all family members.
