Alleviation of Allergies
Raw honey that comes from a local hive will contain trace
amounts of pollen in it. If your PON has allergies to the
pollen, the pollen in local honey will acclimatize your PON to
the pollen in the air without triggering your PON's allergies.
Increased Energy
Giving your PON a spoonful of honey is an excellent way to give
it a natural burst of energy. Unlike processed sugar, honey will
provide your PON with sugars that it's body can break down
gradually. This can be a natural, healthy way to increase your
PON's activity level.
Improved Digestion
Raw honey has been pre-digested by bees and consequently,
contains live enzymes. These live enzymes will help your PON
digest its food. Processing the honey will kill off these
enzymes, and destroy the health benefits. .
Antibacterial Properties
The live enzymes in raw honey also kill harmful microbes and
bacteria. Raw honey may be used topically to care for a wound or
it can be ingested to help curb an infection. Feeding raw honey
to PONS keeps them healthier and boosts their immune system.

Remember that honey needs to be locally produced. This means it must come from hives kept by farmers in your immediate area. Not just any raw honey will help with allergies. Honey works because it has small amounts of various pollens from local plants and trees and acts as a type of desensitization for inhalant allergies. Please keep us updated on the progress of your PON.
